COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you ask.

The questions that come up most. Something not covered here? Send it over — the answer usually takes one text.

What does a custom print cost?

It depends on size, material, quantity and how much finishing work is involved. Small practical parts typically start low; large or hand-painted pieces cost more. Every job gets a written quote before anything is printed, so you always know the number first.

How long does an order take?

Most one-off custom pieces run about one to two weeks from approved design, and larger batch runs are scheduled when quoted. Hand-painted work needs extra time on top of print time — if it’s for a party or an event, say the date in your request and it gets planned backwards from there.

I don’t have a 3D file. Can you still help?

Yes, and that is most jobs. A photo with a ruler in frame, a rough sketch, or a few measurements is enough to get started. Design work is included in the quote.

What materials do you print in?

Most work is printed in PLA or PETG depending on where it lives. Anything going outdoors, near heat, or into a wet environment gets a material chosen for those conditions — that gets sorted out during the quote, not after.

Can you match a specific color?

Close, yes. Filament comes in a wide range of colors, and pieces that need an exact match can be primed and hand painted. Send a color reference with your request — a photo of the fixture or a brand color code both work.

Do you ship, or is this local pickup?

Both. TTA Fabrication is based in Cape Coral, Florida, so local pickup and drop-off is easy around Cape Coral, Fort Myers and the rest of Lee County. Everywhere else in the country, it ships.

Can you do a run of 20 or 50 for my store?

Yes — small-batch business orders from 5 to 50-plus units are a regular part of the work, in your colors and sized to your fixtures. Volume pricing applies and is quoted per unit. Send a photo of the fixture and a rough count to get a number back.

What if the first one isn’t right?

Two rounds of revisions are included on custom design work. On a batch order, a single test print gets approved before the full run goes on the plate — so a fit problem gets caught on one piece instead of fifty.
